This site is dedicated to the memory of our Danish ancestors who joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of these incredible stories are shared in the new novel, A Lively Storm of Persecution, the first book of The Saints of Denmark historical fiction trilogy. In these pages--and in the stories of your ancestors you can share--we can celebrate and commemorate the lives of these truly remarkable saints.
In 1850, the first missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came to Denmark. Many Danes joined the Church; many others fought against it. The stories of conversion, persecution, tragedy, faith, and triumph of these ancestors are remarkable--they are also real. These novels capture the stories of this important epoch in the history of the Church and preserve and commemorate the inspiring stories of these heroic ancestors.
The Saints of Denmark is a planned three-part book trilogy of historical fiction, based on the experiences of the early converts to The Church of Jesus Christ in Denmark. The first book, "A Lively Storm of Persecution," is available now.
This website serves three primary purposes. First, to provide updates and information on this book trilogy; second, to share the research and real stories upon which these fictional stories are based; third, to provide a gathering place for the stories of all "Saints of Denmark," not just those featured in the book.
All of our ancestors deserve to be remembered. There are today hundreds of thousands of descendants of these early converts. All of us today can be strengthened by the stories of our ancestors--and all of those ancestors' stories deserve to be shared and remembered! Join the cause and share your ancestor stories!
A Lively Storm of Persecution: The Saints of Denmark Part 1 is available for purchase on Amazon.
